Things to Consider Before Hair Transplant
Before embarking on your hair transplant journey, it’s crucial to consider certain factors before heading to Turkey for the procedure. We have gathered essential details to make sure you are well-prepared and informed prior to your trip.
Eligibility & Blood Tests
Before the hair transplant operation, inform us about your current health problems and the medications you are using. If you have any health problems, please consult your doctor who follows you before the operation.
In case of blood borne diseases such as HIV and Hepatit C hair transplant is not possible.
Bringing the Hepatit C and HIV results with you is requested. The blood rest results should decelerate that you don’t have these diseases.
Precautions
Stop taking Aspirin, similar blood decontamination medicines, alcohol or drugs 3 days before the surgery. In addition, continue to take medications that you currently use.
Avoid smoking 1 day before the operation to 1 week after the operation. Because smoking reduces blood flow to the scalp, it can cause your veins to narrow and prevent the growth of transplanted hair.
Sedation Requirements
Because sedation is applied in your operation, you must come to operation with a 8 hours hunger and empty stomach. You shouldn’t eat or drink anything, 8 hours before the operation.
Clothing
We recommend that you come to the operation with a button-down shirt or a comfortable blouse with a wide collar in order to wear your clothes after the operation without touching to the transplanted area.
Personal Care
Take care of your personal hygiene before coming to the operation. Get enough sleep and rest before the operation.
